  • Track Geometry and Inspection Vehicle

    The Harsco Rail Utility Track Vehicle (UTV) family tree dates back to 1980. The first UTV’s manufactured by Tamper Corporation in 1980 are still in service today. Each vehicle is custom designed and outfitted for the end user and their unique parameters using the most current design standards and technology. Harsco Rail has a specific engineering design team that focuses 100% of its time on the design and development of this type of vehicle.


  • Flash Butt Wielding Machine

    The system is fully self-contained complete with a diesel engine (Caterpillar) generator set with an integral cooling system. This control system also regulates the speed functions of the welding process. Voltage control is by means of SCR’s and the process control is accomplished by a programmable controller.


  • Ballast Regulator

    The Kershaw Model 66-2-4 Ballast Regulator features a one pass transfer flow, reversible wings and broom with conveyor and hopper assembly – making it a powerful machine for ballast shaping, shoulder profiling and a variety of other track and maintenance operations.


  • Concrete Sleepers

    At the Abu Ghraib Concrete Sleeper factory, we are able to produce upto 2800 industry standard pre-stressed mono block concrete sleepers per day. These are subjected to vigorous tests and ensure that they are above the required standard set by our clients.

  • Motorized Flat Car

    The Motorized Flat Car is a track-contraction cart intended to transport and replace switch sections on non-electrified track. The flat car is equipped with an independent power source for activating devices:

    - Load-Lifting capacity - 20 tonnes
    - Equipped mass - 36 tonnes


  • Leveling Lining Tamping Machine

    The Leveling Lining Tamping Machine ( LLTM) is designed for leveling, tamping and lining the track for maintenance, it can also be used to repair and construct track sections. This machine can raise, line and compact the track as well as install tamp ballasts under the track.

  • Self-Propelled Welding Track Cart

    These Self-Propelled Welding track carts are used for the construction of railway tracks, the cart can self propel its self while welding the track at the same time the machine can also perform its tasks while stationary:

  • Cargo Trailer

    Cargo Trailer with double-side dump bodies are intended for operating in congestion with the railway motor trolley and is used for carrying of different goods during contraction of railway track. The trailer can be coupled with a motorcar on the side of the manipulator and connected with its brake system:

    - Track gauge, 1435mm, 1520mm
    - Transport speed, 80km/h
    - Mass of trailer, 11 tonnes


  • Dynamic Track Stabilizer

    Dynamic Track Stabilizer is a rail cart designed for compacting the ground & creating even ballast in the whole profile of the track, in a continuous mode. It is used specially for the consolidation of the ballast bed after tamping of the area:

    - Length over buffers 13470 mm
    - Width 3040 mm
    - Weight 34.4 tonnes
    - Maximum travel speed 80km/h
    - Power of engine 190kw/1800rpw


  • Geismar Clipping Machine

    Hydraulic machine fitted with a T6 head specially designed for simultaneous insertion and extraction of 2 Pandrol "Fast clips". Model AP11-T6, which is the heavy duty model, is fitted with an adjustable working head allowing adjusting the tools according to different Fast-Clip installation diagrams. The AP11-T6 can be fitted with interchangeable working heads to operate on other models of clips. The working head also include an hydraulic sleeper-lifting device to ensure the sleeper is in contact with underneath of the foot of the rail to facilitate the Fast-Clip insertion:

    - One insertion tool acting on rear buckles of the clip
    - One extraction hook acting on a front buckle of the clip
    - Standard coupling with hydraulic pressure check
    - Adjustment of the extraction length
    - Quick hydraulic connections
    - Fully ready to plug-in electric connectors


  • Sand Removal Machine 46-6

    The Model 46-6 Kershaw Sand Removal Machine provides railways in desert areas with a fast and efficient means of controlling blowing, drifting sand. The Model 46-6 Sand Removal Machine offers superior operating efficiency with faster deployment speeds and greater tractive effort at higher work speeds than other machines.

  • Clamping Machine

    The Pandrol machine model Mark 4 are capable of clipping and de-clipping of four clips simultaneously at a rate of 900 sleepers per hour for both sides. The machine is equipped with three hydraulic power system for operation and moving according to the following specifications:

    - Single operator, pedestrian controlled via portable hand held control deceive.
    - Power option available in petrol of diesel engine option.
    - Hydraulic system providing machine actuation.
    - Maximum machine speed 3/4 mph (6.5 km/h).
    - Lift low sleepers.
    - Suitable for concrete sleepers & fastclip, UIC 60 rail, 1435 mm Gauge
    - 25hp Kholer petrol engine or 28hp Lombordini diesel engine.


  • Railway Ganger Trolley

    Supply of Russian made Ganger Trolley equipped with Crane type AGS-1 & equipped with Cargo trailer. To be in use for maintenance, rehabilitation and construction of railway trucks.

    - Equipped with a cabin for track workers
    - Capable of moving in both directions
    - Tow a freight car up to 100 ton
    - Transmission is hydro mechanical
    - Can carry rails 18m long weighting up to 6 ton
