Al-Burhan Group, G4S and Serco Joint Cleaning Campaign
November 06, 2017
On Saturday, 4th November 2017 team consisting of G4S, Serco and Al-Burhan Group, including its board members and led by Al-Burhan Group Managing Director Mr Imad Burhan, took part in an extensive project of cleaning up the Baghdad International Airport area.
Despite strong sun breams and high temperature, many volunteers turned in to make the area easy for the eye and healthful. Working in good and cheerful company, they not only collected rubbish, but also trimmed trees in nearby, removed dead branches and installed wooden benches, small trash bins and signs advising to dump rubbish into designed containers. Moreover, the Al-Burhan water tanker jets cleaned and removed dust from the streets – they have been neglected for such a long time that the outcome was striking to the eye.
At the end of the day, all participants were tired but happy as the cleaning campaign was extremely successful. Al-Burhan Shuffle Tracks had to undertake 35 trips in order to drop to the BIAP landfill all the garbage collected. Secondly, in order to prevent any truck from leaving any kind of wastage in the future, a locked barrier was installed across the street. For extra safety, a painted and covered with reflective signs concrete block was put at the end of the road as well.
Al-Burhan Group is grateful to all participants of the cleaning campaign for their strivings to beautify the area which not only creates great first impression to everyone who arrives in Baghdad but also supports sports activities which can be performed in the surrounding area of Al-Burhan Street for Sports.
