SKAKO representative’s visit to Baghdad, Iraq from 05.07.2009 to 08.07.2009

ABG made arrangements for SKAKO’s Head of Project - and Installation Department, to visit Baghdad on a 4 day trip to evaluate the current situation of the SKAKO batching plant and concrete transportation system.
The concrete sleeper factor in Abu Ghraib has been undergoing several inspections over the last few months, in a move to refurbish and reconstruct it back to the state it was before its demolition in the recent past years.
The visit by SKAKO, to the Abu Ghraib area is seen as a definite plus point to both the general economy as well as to strength the relationship with foreign companies looking to invest back into Iraq. Amidst tight security measures and constant check points, the visit to the sleeper factory enabled the engineers to better understand what the current need is and how to go about planning the next phase in the reconstruction of the factory.
